About Us

Welcome to Leeds House of Flowers where our head florist Wendy has over 30 years’ experience in the in Floristry trade. Andrew 30 years’ experience in the flower trade and Poppy and Holly have been brought up in the flower business since birth, and are both active within the retail side of the business as well as planning for the future. Jessica came to us when she was at college and has stayed as a full time florist ever since and she is now studying for her level 3 exams. This year Jessica won Gold at Harrogate Spring Flower Show and we hope that this is the first of many more to come. Nick our driver is very good at building structures for our event flowers and also is very good at making a cup of tea and wielding a broom. He even cuts our lunchtime sandwiches into petite triangles so it is just like an afternoon tea.

Our family business started in 1969 and is still run by family. We have always served the community of Leeds and further afield via Interflora.

Harewood House is our nearest tourist attraction and Holly, our youngest family member, is on the Harewood House Team . As a family we often go there to recharge amongst the fabulous countryside and gain inspiration from the surrounds which in turn inspires us within the business.
We are Located opposite Lawnswood Cemetery and Crematorium in the large free car park.
We sell additional products besides flowers which include chocolates both pick and mix by Whittakers Chocolates and Maison Fougere. Teddy Bears, Candles, including the Recycled Candle Company, and Rowbert, Balloons. We also supply glass vases and ceramic containers. We also sell plants, both indoor and outdoor. Outdoor Lanterns and other Garden Artwork are also stocked.

We are involved within our local community and actively encourage local groups to plant spring flower bulbs, Andrew donates spring bulbs every year so that it helps with the wildlife and beautify the area . We as a shop also support animal charities and give regular donations to support these charities. In fact Holly, our youngest team member, raised over £200 in the shop to sponsor a young Owl who was thought to be partially sighted and needed extra care and attention. We also have a shop project in growing trees and then donating them to our local farmer who plants them to support the local wildlife. (Interesting fact his farm is the one used by Emmerdale for filming Moira's farm)

We cover all aspects of Funeral work, including bespoke items. We work very closely with local Funeral Directors to ensure funeral flowers are delivered as smoothly as possible without causing any further stress or strain on the family.

Weddings are a particular favourite with us as we love going to the fabulous wedding venues that are in our area like the Amazing Wharfedale Grange and the Tithe barn at Bolton Abbey, a Medieval barn over looking the Wharfe River and the ruins of the Abbey.

We supply all the City centre Hotels in Leeds and most Saturday mornings we are down there first thing delivering flowers and balloons for their guest who are celebrating special occasions.

We are big supporter of the LGBTQ community by Purchasing from companies who then give part of that money back to support Stonewall. We also ask our Brides that when we take down their event flowers that if any are still usable if we can then remake them into simple vases which we take down to our local Sue Ryder Hospice for the patients and staff to enjoy.
