Hey my name is Jess,

Just  a quick few words to introuce myself. One of my favourite things  is walking amongst flowers especially at Newby Hall. My other great passion is houseplants and I am the go to expert on plants for the shop. My path into floristry was not a direct one, after University I went into my chosen field but did not find the job satisfaction I thought I would  and  I quickly realised that nature and all things floral was my true passion.

After enrolling at Shipley college and completing 3 years of solid coursework I  gained a work place at Leeds House of Flowers and have never looked back. I love meeting our wonderful customers and finding out what they truly want from the flowers they are purchasing. A typical day for me is first to the shop and getting the kettle on before dealing with all the orders coming into the shop from our website and Interflora Relay service.

So to sum up my role, I am the one who deals with the day to day running in the shop and sorts out any house plant queries. plus keeping everyone upto date on the latest trends.
